coach glenMeet the smiling face that runs the place- Coach Glen Britton. Coach Glen opened up a gym in January of 2024 because he was passionate about sharing his love of Martial Arts with the community at an affordable price. At that time the gym was called Empire State Martial Arts.
Coach Glen has been doing martial arts since he was 7 years old. He holds black belts In Shotokan and Kenpo, in addition to various ranks in other martial arts. Glen holds a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Blue Belt under Cesar Pereira, who is a Carlson Gracie affiliate. He participated in full contact martial arts and amateur kickboxing as a teen. Glen also taught martial arts in the military at Ankara Air Station, and was the assistant Wrestling Coach at the DOD school on post as well. When Glen was in the Air Force, he was on the base's kickboxing team and powerlifting team. In addition, Coach Glen was a Security Forces K9 handler both state side and overseas, and was a member on his military base's peacekeepers team. |
Coach Glen's heart and purpose in opening a gym was (and continues to be) making Martial Arts available to everyone, regardless of their economic hurdles.
Coach Glen is Cross-Trained in many forms of martial arts (hence our new Gym Name) and he loves taking the best of all the arts and sharing them with the community. Come find your place in the Cross Train Tribe!

As of October 2024, we are an official affiliate of Inner Circle BJJ! Thank you to Professor Walt and the rest of the coaches and crew for helping us officially start our BJJ journey as the Inner Circle BJJ North Branch. This affiliation doesn't change our identity. We remain Cross Train, and we will continue to offer our kickboxing and kickfit classes. This partnership was created to help ensure we're offering premium BJJ in Oswego County at an affordable price.
our facility
Our goal is to be the most family-friendly gym in CNY! We have an open concept studio where you can work out and still keep an eye on your kids. There's plenty of activities for the kids to do if they aren't up for joining the work-outs on a given day.
